Just the other day, Apple seems to present its new smartphone "iPhone X" to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of the original device. We've seen a lot of leaks and rumors about the characteristics, design and capabilities of the new device, and so far it's always referred to as the iPhone 8. But if the information in one of the latest leaked iOS 11 firmware is accurate, Apple is going to name its jubilee device iPhone X.
Programmer and developer Steven Troughton-Smith, who had previously discovered a number of details about the capabilities of the new smartphone through the analysis of firmware, found mention of the iPhone X estate associated with the frameless device code-named D22. It seems that the same people want to reflect the figure 10 directly in the name of the new device.
Curiously, Mr. Smith also found individual references to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the final build of iOS 11. In other words, Apple really does not intend to use the names of the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus for its new smartphones with traditional LCD displays and the old case design.
Although we are talking about the leaked final build of iOS 11, Apple can still make changes to it before the emergence of new smartphones on the market, and the new device named may be quite different. A lot of recent rumors say that the iPhone X, which costs $ 1000, may be delayed due to problems with massive shipments of OLED displays and Apple's desire to find another supplier of screens instead of Samsung.
